"History & Panorama" Day Program

Organized as a package, everything included and easy to book

The village of Stoos is a tranquil mountain village in central Schwyz. It is situated on a high plateau at 1300 meters above sea level, has about 150 inhabitants and 2,200 beds. Stoos has already experienced a significant tourism boom several times. These changes can still be experienced today and result in exciting insights and interesting stories.

Upon arrival, we welcome your group in the Regio-Shop at the valley station with a cozy round of coffee and croissants, as an ideal introduction to the Stoos excursion. The ride on the steepest funicular in the world with a gradient of up to 110% is also part of this excursion. You will marvel at modern and contemporary Swiss engineering and construction. On the approximately one-hour guided tour through the mountain village of Stoos and the surrounding area, you will learn many interesting facts from our guest guides about history, settlement, mountain tourism and a unique mountain school.

Of course, unique panoramic views are also on the program. For lunch, you will take the weather-proof comfort chairlift up to the Fronalpstock summit at 1,922 m above sea level, for a fine menu with a view. After lunch, you will have plenty of time for a walk to the summit or a short hike from the summit, or a detour to an alpine restaurant. General conditions: Dates: Daily, 6.5 - 5.11.2023
