MOUNTAIN RAILWAY TICKET To reach Stoos and the starting point of the hike, the first stage from Schwyz to the mountain village of Stoos is covered by funicular. The hike also includes a section using the Fronalpstock chairlifts. For this, a valid mountain railway ticket is required (not included in the Migros Hiking Sounds ticket). Book your mountain railway ticket at a special price right at the bottom of this page. The QR code on your ticket allows you to pass straight through the turnstile. By buying your ticket in advance, you can avoid long queues and benefit from the special price.
HIKE Important: Please note that this is a moderately difficult hike. A good basic level of fitness, sure-footedness, and proper footwear are required. From the mountain station of the Schwyz–Stoos funicular, the hike leads through the idyllic mountain village of Stoos to the valley station of the Fronalpstock chairlifts. The chairlift then takes you comfortably in two sections up to the Fronalpstock. Once at the top, one of the most beautiful 360° panoramas in Switzerland awaits you – with views of Lake Lucerne, the Mythen peaks, and numerous other Alpine summits. From the summit, the scenic hike continues along the Chänzeli trail towards the Mettlen mid-station of the chairlift. This section is one of the most beautiful panoramic trails in the region and passes impressive viewpoints all the way to the Migros Mobile Stage. The final part of the hike leads from the mid-station back to the mountain village of Stoos to Sternegg meadow. On this easy section, you can once again fully enjoy nature before reaching the Hiking Sounds Stage.
HIKING SOUNDS STAGE Right next to the mountain station of the funicular is the Hiking Sounds Stage, where you can now enjoy the full concert experience. View the hiking route on the map: migroshikingsounds.ch/stoos. Take it easy! Hike at your own pace and enjoy the panorama. Take breaks and drink enough water.
MIGROS MOBILE STAGE From 10 am, emerging Swiss talents will perform on the Migros Mobile Stage. From 3 pm, the artists will perform their hits on the Hiking Sounds Stage.
AFTER THE CONCERTS Thanks to its excellent public transport connections, Stoos is easily accessible and served until late in the evening (connections to Zug, Lucerne, or Zurich until 10.40 pm, and to Schwyz until 11.40 pm). After the concerts, you can therefore end your festival day on Stoos completely worry-free.
