On 25 August 2024, the Coop Family Hike will take place on Stoos for the second time. Fancy a day out in nature with the family? The Coop Family Hike is a puzzle hike, an interactive theatre, a day trip, a short holiday and, last but not least, an unforgettable experience for the whole family! Immerse yourself in a fantasy world and slip into the role of amateur archaeologist Sam! THE CURSE OF THE PHARAOH Accompany Sam, a young amateur archaeologist, on his discovery tour when he stumbles upon a mysterious cave and finds a golden book with Egyptian hieroglyphics. What happens next unleashes unimagined powers and opens the door to the world of ancient Egypt. An adventure between pyramids, pharaohs and secrets begins! A family experience that you will remember for a long time! How to get there: Public transport: From Schwyz railway station, take bus no. 501 to the "Schwyz, Stoosbahn" stop and then take the world's steepest funicular railway to the centre of the mountain village of Stoos. Address: Stoosplatz 1, 6433 Stoos (start and finish area, not accessible by car) Car park navigation: Grundstrasse 230, 6430 Schwyz Hike (distance & duration): The hike leads from the summit of Fronalpstock via the cosy Alp Laui in Frontal to the idyllic Stoos-Seeli and back to the mountain village of Stoos. The hiking trail is 4.6 km long and takes 1.5 hours without breaks. (A mountain railway ticket is required for the hike and the trail is not suitable for pushchairs) Ticket: The registration fee for the Coop family hike is CHF 5 per person (children up to 1 year are free).
